Your data on EgoFabula.com
You can browse the website without an account, registration form or newsletter. Google Analytics audience measurement remains disabled until you accept it.
1. Data controller
The controller for the processing described in this policy is Mr William-Arno Clément, publisher of the Ego Fabula® website.
- Website
- https://www.egofabula.com/
- Contact
- william@griffure.com
- Main purpose
- Present the Ego Fabula® game and measure website traffic when the User consents.
2. What data is processed?
The website does not require an account and does not directly collect names, postal addresses, telephone numbers, payment details or personal content.
Depending on your browsing and choices, the following categories may nevertheless be processed:
- consent choice: your “accept” or “decline” decision is stored locally in your browser;
- language preference: your manual language choice is stored for one year in a functional cookie;
- audience measurement data: pages viewed, approximate visit duration, device type, browser, general source and approximate location, only after consent;
- technical hosting data: IP address, date, time, requested resource and technical information that may temporarily appear in server security logs;
- correspondence: if you voluntarily contact the Publisher by email, the information in your message is used to answer you.
3. Google Analytics
The website uses Google Analytics, an audience measurement service provided by Google. The Google Analytics tag is loaded only after your explicit consent.
When you accept, Google Analytics may use cookies such as _ga to distinguish visits and produce aggregate statistics. The website configuration disables Google signals and advertising personalisation.
This information helps identify viewed pages, general traffic trends and useful website improvements. The legal basis for this processing is your consent, which you may withdraw at any time.
Google states that Google Analytics properties do not log or store IP addresses. For more information, see the Google Analytics privacy controls and Google Privacy Policy.
4. Cookies and managing your choice
On your first visit, a banner in the bottom-right corner lets you accept or decline audience measurement with the same number of actions. Google Analytics remains disabled until you answer.
Your choice is stored in your browser’s local storage for six months so that you are not asked on every page. This record is strictly necessary to remember your preference.
Your manual language choice is stored in a functional cookie for one year. If no choice has been stored, the website uses your browser’s preferred language to choose between French and English.
You can change or withdraw your analytics consent at any time using the “Manage cookies” button in the footer. If you decline or withdraw consent, the website also attempts to delete Google Analytics cookies accessible from its domain.
You can also clear cookies and website data in your browser settings or use the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
5. Video and third-party social media
The YouTube trailer is not embedded when the page first loads. The external player, served through YouTube’s “nocookie” domain, loads only after you click the play button.
Links to YouTube, Instagram, Facebook and Griffure open third-party websites. These services may process data under their own policies when you visit them. The Publisher does not control their processing.
6. Recipients, transfers and retention
Traffic statistics are accessible to the Publisher and processed by Google as the service provider. Processing may take place outside the European Economic Area under the contractual mechanisms and safeguards implemented by Google.
- the consent choice is stored for six months in your browser;
- the language preference is stored for one year in your browser;
- Google Analytics user and event data is retained according to the property settings, up to the maximum offered period of fourteen months;
- hosting-provider technical logs are retained for the time required for security, diagnosis and legal obligations;
- emails are retained for the time needed to process the request and provide reasonable follow-up.
7. Your rights
Under the conditions set out in the General Data Protection Regulation and French data-protection law, you may request access to, rectification or erasure of your data, restriction of processing, object to processing, withdraw your consent, or exercise your right to data portability where applicable.
To exercise your rights, write to william@griffure.com and specify your request. Proof of identity may be requested only where there is reasonable doubt about your identity.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the French data-protection authority, the Commission nationale de l’informatique et des libertés (CNIL).
8. Security and data minimisation
The Publisher limits processing to the information needed for the stated purposes and implements reasonable measures to protect the website. No connected system can, however, guarantee absolute security.
The website does not use advertising profiling, sell data or make automated decisions that produce legal effects concerning you.
9. Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated to reflect changes to the website, the services used or applicable regulations. The last-updated date appears at the top of the page.
The game itself has a separate privacy document: the Ego Fabula® game privacy policy.
